Iran Unveils New ‘Rastakhiz’ Missile with Electromagnetic Warfare Capability | Khamenei’s Arsenal

Iran has once again shocked the world by unveiling a new missile that adds cutting-edge technology to its growing arsenal. Following the 12-day conflict with Israel, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has expanded Iran’s missile stockpile with the introduction of the ‘Rastakhiz’ missile—a weapon equipped not only with conventional warheads but also with advanced electromagnetic pulse (EMP) capabilities. Military analysts suggest this could reshape the future of warfare.

The most striking feature of the Rastakhiz missile is its EMP warhead, which can disable electronic and communication systems without directly destroying targets. This makes critical infrastructure such as power grids, radar, communication networks, and electronic systems highly vulnerable.

The missile is designed with two different warheads—one for conventional strategic strikes and another for electromagnetic attacks. Iran considers this missile a crucial part of its defense strategy, sending a clear message to both Israel and the United States.

Last week, Tehran conducted the ‘Eghtedar 1404’ naval drill in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean, involving the Air Force and electronic warfare units. Under the leadership of General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Iran appears fully prepared to counter Israel with maximum strength.

The unveiling of the Rastakhiz missile has heightened tensions in West Asia. Western military observers are deeply concerned, as this weapon could add a dangerous new dimension to any conflict. Iran, despite Western sanctions, is demonstrating its determination to advance military technology.

Notably, Tehran has already produced 1,800 new launchers, including 300 heavy ballistic missile launchers, further strengthening its strategic arsenal.
